Subject : Part 1 Application by TekSavvy Solutions Inc. to address Cogeco’s activities to decommission or remove coaxial facilities
On 22 December 2023, the Commission received an application from TekSavvy Solutions Inc. (TekSavvy), requesting that the Commission address Cogeco Communications Inc.’s (Cogeco’s) intent to decommission its coaxial-based access facilities at two locations as of May 1, and thereby discontinuing competitor access to regulated aggregated high-speed access services, and the ability for TekSavvy to serve its retail customers at those locations.
The Commission is in receipt of a procedural request from Cogeco on 15 January 2024 asking the Commission to dismiss the application or put it on hold. Commission staff reminds parties that consistent with the rules of procedure, Cogeco may file its answer and other parties may file their intervention by 9 February 2024. TekSavvy may file its reply by 20 February 2024.
