Subject: Call for comments – Review of Video Relay Services, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2021-102 (Ottawa, March 11, 2021) – Acceptance of late-filed documents in support of the CAD’s costs’ application.
Mr. Belzile,
- In a letter filed with the Commission on 26 January 2024, the Canadian Association of the Deaf (CAD) requested that the Commission accept its late filing of documents in support of its costs’ application, which was incomplete and had been filed with the Commission before the deadline.
- Commission staff notes that the CAD’s request is reasonable in the circumstances, and that it is unlikely to prejudice any of the other applicants requesting costs or costs respondents.
- To facilitate the treatment of all cost applications and ensure that potential payors have an overall sense of the possible costs for which they may be responsible, Commission staff accepts the documents filed by the CAD after the deadline for filing costs applications.
- Due to the circumstances, Commission staff exceptionally accepts the late filing of the documents in question to allow the CAD to provide all information necessary in support of its costs’ application, in order for other interested parties to be able to assess the said costs’ application and to answer to it.
- Parties may file an answer to this costs’ application no later than 6 February 2024.
- A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
