Dear Members of the CRTC-OLMC Discussion Group,
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (the Commission) staff wishes to inform you that the Commission is in receipt of applications from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to add the rebroadcasting transmitter CJBC-4-FM London to the licence of the French-language radio station ICI Première CBEF Windsor and to remove it from the licence of the French-language radio station ICI Première CJBC Toronto. These changes will enable London's French-speaking community to receive ICI Radio-Canada Première programming from CBEF Windsor rather than CJBC Toronto.
CBC specifies that these changes are at the request of the francophone official language minority community (OLMC) of the London region.
As members of the CRTC-OLMC Discussion Group, we invite you to take note of these applications and comment if you deem appropriate. Your views, among others, will assist the Commission in the consideration of these applications. Comments may be submitted until 7 August 2024. Follow the link to submit an intervention.
A copy of this letter will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
