The Commission issued Call for comments – Application for exemption from the Online News Act by Google, Online News Notice of Consultation CRTC 2024-143, 27 June 2024, in which it initiated a proceeding to ask interested persons to provide comments on whether the Commission should grant Google an exemption under the Online News Act.
The deadlines established were 29 July 2024 for the submission of comments and 9 August 2024 for the submission of replies. However, an incorrect deadline for the submission of comments was listed in some versions of the notice. All versions have now been updated to reflect the correct deadline of 29 July 2024 for submission of comments.
