The Path Forward – Defining “Canadian program” and supporting the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in the audio-visual sector – Postponement of the public hearing
A federal election is currently underway. The Commission is mindful that the federal public service operates under the “caretaker convention” during an election period.
In light of this, the Commission has decided to postpone the public hearing related to Broadcasting Notices of Consultation 2024-288 and 2024-288-1. The new hearing date will be announced at a later time.
