Forbearance from the regulation of high-capacity / digital data services interexchange private line services on certain additional routes – Correction
- In Forbearance from the regulation of high-capacity / digital data services interexchange private line services on certain additional routes, Telecom Decision CRTC 2023-78, 16 March 2023 (Telecom Decision 2023-78), the Commission forbore, with some conditions, from regulating high-capacity / digital data services interexchange private line services on seven routes. This included a route from Toronto, Ontario, to Cottam, Ontario, which had been filed by Acronym Solutions Inc. as a Bell Canada route.
- Bell Canada subsequently notified the Commission that the Cottam exchange for that route was in fact an exchange in the operating territory of Gosfield North Communications Co‑operative Limited and did not qualify for forbearance.Footnote 1
- Accordingly, the Commission is making a correction to Telecom Decision 2023-78 to remove the Toronto to Cottam route from the list of routes approved for forbearance, as set out in the appendix to that decision. For ease of reference, the correction is shown as struck out below:
