Renaming of BBC World News as BBC News on the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution

In Revised Lists of Eligible Satellite Services, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 1997-96, 22 July 1997, the Commission added BBC World News (currently listed as BBC World) to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution (the list).
In a letter to the Commission dated 23 March 2023, BBC Studios Distribution Limited indicated that BBC World News would change its name to BBC News, effective 3 April 2023. Accordingly, the Commission amends the list to reflect this name change. The revised list can be found on the Commission’s website at www.crtc.gc.ca and may be obtained in hard copy on request.
