RE: Northwestel - Tariff Notice 1137 – Terrestrial Internet Services – Increase Speeds and Usage Caps

Dear Stan Thompson:

On 19 August 2021, the Commission received an application from Northwestel proposing changes to its General Tariff CRTC 3001 – Item 1735 – Terrestrial Internet Services in order to, among other things, increase the upload and download speeds and the usage cap for certain cable and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) residential and business Internet packages.

Commission staff is continuing its analysis of this application. Consequently, this application will not be disposed of within the intended timelines communicated in the 26 October 2021 letter. However, the Commission intends to issue a final decision regarding the application and any subsequent revisions by early 2022.
