RE:  Bell Canada Tariff Notice (TN) 967, Ontera TN 151, NorthernTel TN 409 and DMTS TN 84 – Central Office Located Customer Provided Equipment

Philippe Gauvin:

On 3 September 2021, the Commission received a tariff application from Bell Canada, in which the company proposed changes to Bell Canada's National Services Tariff (NST) CRTC 7400, Special Facilities Services, in order to introduce Item 796 - Central Office Located Customer Provided Equipment (CPE).

Under separate cover, Bell Canada filed a request to withdraw the following Items from the individual tariffs of Ontera, NorthernTel Limited Partnership (NorthernTel) and DMTS and replace each Special Facilities Tariff (SFT) with new Item 796 of Bell Canada’s NST:

  1. Ontera, TN 151 to withdraw Ontera’s SFT offered in Ontera’s Serving Area Pursuant to NorthernTel LP Tariffs in Part I, Section 6 Item 1020;
  2. NorthernTel, TN 409 to withdraw SFT Item N1000.4 – Central Office Located Customer Provided Equipment and;
  3. DMTS, a division of Bell Canada, TN 84 to withdraw SFT Section 1000 – Central Office Located Customer Provided Equipment.

Commission staff is continuing its analysis of these applications. Consequently, these applications will not be disposed of by the 45th business day following receipt. However, the Commission intends to issue a final decision within 90 calendar days of the date of the initial applications.
