RE:   Part 1 Application requesting expedited and temporary relief from Rogers Communications Canada Inc. concerning DOCSIS 3.0 modems – Update on the Stop-Sell

Dear Howard Slawner:

On 14 September 2021, Rogers filed a letter with the Commission to notify interested parties of new information relating to the above noted Part 1 Application. Specifically, Rogers indicated that, as of 17 August 2021, it had notified its Third Party Internet Access (TPIA) customers of a further extension of the DOCSIS 3.0 modem stop-sell date from 31 December 2021 to 30 June 2022 in order to better accommodate its TPIA customers and the new business complexities that have arisen since the proceeding was initiated.

Commission staff requests that Rogers provide complete details, by 20 September 2021, regarding its statement that “new business complexities […] have arisen since this proceeding was initiated” including any relevant documentation, communication or data.

Rogers’ response is to be filed with the Commission and served on all parties to the proceeding.

Sincerely,
