RE:  Northwestel Inc. Tariff Notice 1137 – Terrestrial Internet Services – Increase Speeds and Usage Caps

Dear Stan Thompson:

On 19 August 2021, the Commission received an application from Northwestel proposing changes to its General Tariff CRTC 3001 – Item 1735 – Terrestrial Internet Services proposing, among other things, increases to upload and download speeds and to the usage cap for certain cable and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) residential and business Internet packages.

Commission staff is analyzing the application.

Consequently, this application, along with any associated subsequent revisions, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day following receipt. However, the Commission intends to make its decision regarding the application and any subsequent revisions within 45 business days of receipt of the filing.
