RE: Northwestel Inc. - Tariff Notice 1099 – Requests for information –Request for further extension
Dear Mr. Thompson:
This is in response to Northwestel Inc.’s (Northwestel’s) 17 March 2021 letter requesting an subsequent extension to the filing date for responses to Commission staff's requests for information (RFIs) related to Tariff Notice (TN) 1099, dated 16 February 2021.Footnote1 Commission staff had requested detailed information related to the costing support filed for TN 1099. Further to a Commission staff letter dated 9 March 2021, a response was to be filed by 20 April 2021.
As Northwestel previously submitted, its experienced costing personnel are currently fully engaged in preparing responses to the Commission's RFIs related to the proceeding initiated by Telecom Notice of Consultation 2020-367Footnote2 and some of the responses for the TN 1099 RFIs are dependent on the completion of the responses to those RFIs. As the company has requested an extension for the filing the responses to RFIs in that proceeding, it submitted that it necessitates a further extension to the filing of the responses to RFIs related to TN 1099.
In a Commission staff letter dated 24 March 2021, Northwestel was granted an extension to the filing date for responses to RFIs in relation to the Telecom Notice of Consultation.
Accordingly, staff considers Northwestel’s request for an extension to the filing date for responses to RFIs related to TN 1099 to be reasonable. Northwestel is to file its responses to Commission staff’s RFIs related to TN 1099 by 4 May 2021.
