We thank you for sending us your comments regarding the application by Rogers Communications Inc. on behalf of Shaw Communications Inc.
We have carefully read your intervention as well as attachments provided in its support and take note of all your concerns. Your intervention explained your viewpoints clearly and the Commission feels that your intervention is complete. Therefore, you are not required to appear to make an oral presentation during the hearing.
As indicated in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2021-281, the present application does not include Shaw’s wireline telecommunications services (including home telephone and Internet), wireless telecommunications services (including wireless telephony operating under the brands Freedom Mobile and Shaw Mobile), and business automation and security, since the change in ownership of these elements does not require prior approval from the Commission. However, these elements will be subject to review by the Competition Bureau and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
The Commission will take into consideration your comments that are within scope of the present application when it renders its decision.
