RE: Call for comments – Access to in-building wire in multi-dwelling units, Telecom Notice of Consultation 2019-420, as amended – Submission of reply comments
Distribution List
In Telecom Notice of Consultation 2019-420-2 the Commission suspended the 8 June 2020 deadline for reply comments until further notice. The Commission indicated that it would consider any arguments for or against additional process related to the information Bell Canada expected to receive in response to Telecom Decision 2020-122. The Commission also indicated that it would establish additional process, as required, as well as a new reply comment deadline, following its review of the interventions.
Commission staff has reviewed the interventions and considers that it would be appropriate to resume the proceeding by establishing a new deadline for replies to substantive interventions.
Staff notes that additional process will be established at a later date, including requests for information. At this stage in the process, staff does not consider it necessary to address Bell Canada’s request for time to assess, evaluate, and analyze the state of its fibre IBW at various multi-dwelling units (MDUs) based on the lists it was due to receive by 11 May 2020.
Accordingly, Commission staff informs all parties of the revised process, as follows:
Intervenors who submitted substantive interventions, not just procedural ones, may file reply comments by August 24, 2020.
Sincerely,
