Re: Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2020-374, Call for Comments - Commercial radio policy framework review – Request to extend the deadline to receive interventions to 29 March 2021
Madam, Sir,
On 12 November 2020, the Commission issued Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2020-374 initiating a public proceeding to review the regulatory framework for commercial radio. In that notice, it indicated that the deadline for receiving interventions was 1 February 2021.
On 30 November 2020, the Commission received a request from ADISQ, ANIM, APEM, Artisti, GMMQ, SOCAN, SOPROQ, SPACQ and UDA requesting that the Commission extend the filing date for this proceeding by eight weeks, to 29 March 2021.
Interested persons may file interventions regarding the application by ADISQ, ANIM, APEM, Artisti, GMMQ, SOCAN, SOPROQ, SPACQ and UDA, if any, by 11 December 2020. The latter will have until 16 December 2020 to file their reply.
