fyi – Revocation of licence
- Corus Entertainment Inc. (Corus), on behalf of Discovery Health Channel Canada ULC, requested the revocation of the broadcasting licence for the national, English-language discretionary service fyi, for which the broadcasting licence was last renewed in Broadcasting Decision 2017-150.
- Given that request and pursuant to section 9(1)(e) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Discovery Health Channel Canada ULC for the above-mentioned undertaking, effective 1 January 2020.
- In accordance with the requirements set out in Broadcasting Decision 2017-148 and with condition of licence 20 set out in Appendix 2 to Broadcasting Decision 2017-150, Corus submitted a revised list of the services that form part of the Corus Group. This list, which is set out in the appendix to this decision, replaces that originally set out in Appendix 1 to Broadcasting Decision 2017-150.
