RE: Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2019-57, Review of mobile wireless services – procedural changes
Dear Madams, Sirs:
In a letter dated 20 September 2019, the Commissioner of Competition (the Commissioner) requested that he be given a 30 day extension to the 23 October 2019 deadline for further comments, as part of which he intends to file several econometric analyses.
Several other parties conditionally supported the extension request. Among the conditions advanced were that all other parties also be given the extra time to file their second interventions. Parties also made various requests to add supplementary procedural steps into the schedule to allow for additional comment, including comment directed specifically at the Commissioner’s analyses. Several parties also argued that if an extension were granted and procedural steps were added, the oral hearing would have to be moved to a later date.
Parties are hereby informed that the date for the filing of further comments has been extended to 22 November 2019 for all parties.
Details regarding these and other procedural changes to the schedule will be issued by the Commission in a revised Notice of Consultation in due course.
