Subject: Request for expedited relief by AFX Communications (AFX) against Bell Canada (Bell) – Procedural Letter

Dear Ms. Lamarre:

On July 12, 2019, the Commission received a letter from AFX Communications requesting an extension of the filing date for its reply to the response submitted by Bell on July 4, 2019, as part of a request for expedited relief by AFX Communications against Bell Canada, under Part 1 of the CRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure and sections 27(2) and 36 of the Telecommunications Act.

Pursuant to rule 27 (1) of the CRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure, AFX should normally have submitted its reply by July 15, 2019. AFX is hereby requesting that the Commission accept a postponement of this deadline to July 22, 2019. In support of its request, AFX submits that this additional delay, which was not opposed by Bell Canada, will allow both parties to continue their discussions and to find a solution that is in the public interest.

Considering the above, Commission staff grants the request submitted by AFX. As a result, AFX must submit its reply by July 22, 2019.

Sincerely,

Original signed by
