Re: Determination of costs award with respect to the participation of the Deaf Wireless Canada Consultative Committee in the Telecom Notice of Consultation 2017-33 proceeding, Telecom Order CRTC 2018-437 - Request for extension to file review and vary application
Dear Ms. Anderson-Kellett,
By letter dated 14 March 2019, the Deaf Wireless Canada Consultative Committee (the DWCC) requested an extension to the timeline set out in section 71 of the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure relating to the filing of an application to review and vary a decision of the Commission. Specifically, the DWCC requested an extension of the deadline to 2 April 2019.
In its letter, the DWCC submitted that it requires a deadline extension to file its review and vary application due to scheduling conflicts and the commitments of its key representatives on other matters affecting its members, including other Commission proceedings.
Having regard for the above and the relatively short extensions being requested, Commission staff is of the view that the request would not prejudice any parties and is reasonable. Therefore, the DWCC’s deadline to submit a review and vary application is extended to 2 April 2019.
A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
Sincerely,
Original signed by
