Re: Request for expedited treatment of Part 1 applications 2019-0669-5, 2019-0690-1 and 2019-0681-9 by Shaw Communications Inc., Rogers Communications Canada Inc. and Bell Canada to amend conditions of licence relating to the set-top box audience measurement system
Dear Mr. Shaikh,
We received applications by Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw), Rogers Communications Canada Inc. (Rogers) and Bell Canada (Bell), originally filed as a joint application, to request amendments to each licensee’s broadcasting licences for terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDUs) serving various locations throughout Canada. The applicants have requested that the Commission process the above-noted applications on an expedited basis.
Therefore, the timetable for the Part 1 process for the above-noted applications will be modified as follows:
- Interested persons have until 12 December 2019 to submit interventions relating to the applications.
- Shaw, Rogers and Bell will have until 17 December 2019 to reply to the interventions.
