IFC – Revocation of licence

1. Showcase Television Inc. has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the English-language discretionary service known as IFC, originally granted in The Independent Film Channel Canada - a new specialty channel, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2000-459, 14 December 2000.
2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to section 9(1)(e) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Showcase Television Inc. for the above-mentioned undertaking.
