CJLU-FM Halifax and its transmitter CJLU-FM-1 Wolfville – Technical change

The Commission approves the application by International Harvesters for Christ Evangelistic Association Inc. to change the authorized contours of CJLU-FM-1 Wolfville, Nova Scotia, a rebroadcasting transmitter of the English-language specialty (Christian music) radio programming undertaking CJLU-FM Halifax, Nova Scotia, by decreasing the maximum effective radiated power from 1,000 to 300 watts. All other technical parameters will remain unchanged. The Commission did not receive any interventions regarding this application.
The licensee stated that the requested amendment will allow it to ensure CJLU-FM’s compliance with Safety Code 6.^{Footnote 1}
Pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
The licensee must implement the technical change by no later than 4 April 2021. To request an extension, the licensee must submit a written request to the Commission at least 60 days before that date, using the form available on the Commission’s website.
