RE: Part 1 Application by the Independent Telecommunications Providers Association to review and vary Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2018-213 Footnote1 – Request for extension to file reply comments
Dear Sir,
On 24 September 2018, the Independent Telecommunications Providers Association (ITPA) submitted a Part 1 application Footnote2 to review and vary certain aspects of Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2018-213.
By letter dated 15 October 2018, Commission staff extended the deadline for interested parties to file interventions on the ITPA’s application to 23 November 2018 and the deadline for reply comments by the IPTA to 3 December 2018.
On 27 November 2018, the Commission received a letter from the ITPA requesting an extension to the deadline to file its reply comments to 13 December 2018. The ITPA submitted, among other things, that an extension would allow coordination with outside resources to fully develop its reply comments, thereby ensuring an extensive record for the Commission to consider.
In the circumstances, Commission staff considers that the ITPA’s requested extension to the deadline to file its reply comments is reasonable and would not prejudice any parties to the proceeding.
Accordingly, the ITPA may file its reply comments by 13 December 2018.
