Re: Part 1 application 2018-0501-1, amendment to technical parameters of CKOV-FM Strathmore, Alberta
Ms. Hildebrand,
On 28 June 2018, the Commission received an application filed on behalf of 2044577 Alberta Ltd. to seek approval to relocate the approved transmitter site for CKOV-FM (Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2014-637) to an interim alternative tower owned by the Town of Strathmore. The applicant requested that this application be processed expeditiously as a Part 1 application to ensure that the radio station goes on air by the 9 December 2018 deadline.
Under the circumstances, Commission staff considers it appropriate to shorten the timeframes for this application. As such, the timetable for the process has been revised as follows:
Interested parties will have until 25 July 2018 to submit interventions relating to the application.
The applicant will have until 30 July 2018 to reply to interventions.
A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
