Re: Extension of deadline for Bell Fund’s reply to deficiency questions regarding the complaint by CBC/Radio-Canada, CMPA, Groupe V Média, TVO, Groupe Média TFO, OUTtv, Télé-Québec and TV5/Unis TV against the Bell Fund/Fonds Bell (2018-0315-6)
Ms. Chapelle:
This letter is in response to Monique McAlister’s request for an extension of time of 3 days to provide responses to the questions sent to the Bell Fund on 11 June 2018. The deadline for response that was originally imposed in the letter was 19 June 2018; the 3 day extension would bring the deadline to 22 June 2018.
The reasoning for the request for an extension of time was due to the requirement that the response be signed off by the board of the Bell Fund, before being provided to the Commission. As the members of the board are currently attending a major industry conference and given an impending announcement regarding the funding of certain projects by the Bell Fund, the originally imposed deadline created significant difficulties for review and sign-off on the replies.
In light of the above, a 3 day extension to the Bell Fund to provide replies to the questions sent on 11 June 2018 is granted. The new deadline for reply is 22 June, 2018. The 3 day extension also results in the extension of the deadlines for intervenors to consult and comment on the additional information. The timelines will therefore be amended as follows:
Interventions | Intervention deadline |
---|---|
Intervenors | 3 July 2018 |
Response from the Bell Fund (the respondent) | 10 July 2018 |
Final reply from the Applicants | 17 July 2018 |
Yours sincerely,
