Sundance Channel – Revocation of licence

  1. Corus Entertainment Inc. (Corus), on behalf of 7202342 Canada Inc., has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the national, English-languagediscretionary service Sundance Channel (formerly the Drive-In Channel), originally granted in Broadcasting Decision 2001-305.
  2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to section 9(1)(e) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to 7202342 Canada Inc. for the above-mentioned undertaking, effective 1 March 2018.
  3. In accordance with the group-based licensing approach, Corus submitted a revised list of the services that form part of the Corus Group. This list, which is set out in the appendix to this decision, replaces that found in Appendix 1 to Broadcasting Decision 2017-150.
