Re: Review of the regulatory framework for text-based message relay services, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2017-33 – Request for extension to file costs application
Dear Ms. McHugh,
By letter dated 3 December 2017, the Canadian National Society of the Deaf-Blind (CSNDB) requested an extension to the timeline set out in section 65 of the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure relating to the filing of applications for final costs. Specifically, CNSDB requested an extension of the deadline to 14 December 2017.
The CSNDB submitted that it is attempting to complete its cost application, but that the assistance of persons experienced in filing cost applications – which are currently unavailable – is needed in order to complete the application. The CSNDB therefore requests that its costs application deadline be extended one week.
Having regard for the above and the relatively short extension being requested, we are of the view that the request is reasonable.
Sincerely,
