Re: Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2017-359
Call for comments on the Governor in Council’s request for a report on future programming distribution models –Letter in support of the Forum for Research and Policy in Communications

This is in response to your letter sent to the Commission on 27 October 2017 supporting the request made by the Forum for Research and Policy in Communications (FRPC) to extend the deadline to submit interventions by an additional six.

In response to the FRPC and the Coalition pour la culture et les médias’ requests, the Commission published an amendment to Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2017-359 on October 26th 2017 in which it announced that the deadline for submitting comments in the first phase of this process is being extended to 1 December 2017.

Further, the Commission clarified that parties will be allowed to file new evidence, as well as submit further evidence in support of their initial interventions in the second phase of the consultation.

We are bringing the amended Notice of Consultation to your attention as it is responsive to the letter of support filed by CAD-ASC et al.

Sincerely,
