Re: New intervention period - Part 1 application (application 2017-0434-6)
Dear Ms. Lafontaine:
This is in reference to application 2017-0434-6 by Ethnic Channels Group Limited (ECGL) to add 360tunebox to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution.
The Commission has approved the procedural request made by Stingray Digital Group Inc. (Stingray), dated 10 July 2017, in which Stingray requested the opportunity to comment on new evidence filed in ECGL’s reply, dated 4 July 2017. The new evidence consists of:
- a broadened target audience for the non-Canadian service, which includes teenagers within the 15-18 age group and individuals who are passionate about new music from around the world;
- a month-long playlist of music videos aired on 360tunebox, filed as Appendix A to ECGL’s reply.
As such, the Commission amends the timetable for the process as follows:
- Interested parties will have until 21 August, 2017 to file comments on the new information introduced by ECGL in its reply, and
- ECGL will have until 28 August, 2017 to file its reply to any comments. ECGL is reminded that its reply should be restricted to the points raised in those comments.
A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
