RE: Application for Determinations and Approvals re Municipal Consent by the City of Calgary – Request for Extension

Dear Mr. Emard-Chabot:
In an application dated 28 November 2016, the City of Calgary requested certain determinations and approvals in respect of the access and use of municipal rights-of-way by telecommunications service providers.
By letter dated 19 December 2016, The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) requested a two week extension to the date for filing interventions to 31 January 2017 in order to allow its Executive Committee to examine the matter fully and prepare written submissions.
By letter dated 21 December 2016, the City of Calgary stated that the two week extension requested by FCM was reasonable.
In the circumstances, Commission staff considers the request for an extension to the date for the filing of interventions to be reasonable. Accordingly, the date for the filing of interventions is changed to 31 January 2017. The standard procedural rules for reply comments for Part 1 application proceedings will apply.
Sincerely,
