RE: Implementation of local competition in Aylmer, Ontario – Request for extension of deadline

Dear Madame, Sir,

The Commission has received a letter dated 29 September 2016 from Amtelecom Telco GP Inc., a business unit of Bragg Communications Inc. carrying on business as “Eastlink” (Eastlink) requesting an extension of the deadline for submitting its responses to a Commission letter dated 27 September 2016. The letter was sent to Eastlink and Iristel Inc. (Iristel).   The responses from Eastlink were to be filed with the Commission by 4 October 2016, while Iristel had until 12 October 2016 to file its comments on those responses.

Eastlink submitted that it has several filings on different important proceedings due between 27 September and 4 October 2016. Eastlink also noted the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday on 10 October 2016. Accordingly, Eastlink requested an extension to file its responses with the Commission until 14 October 2016.

Commission staff finds that the proposed timeline for Eastlink to file its responses is reasonable.

In light of the above, Eastlink is to file its responses to the Commission letter of 27 September 2016 by 14 October 2016. In order to provide Iristel with 5 business days to file comments to Eastlink’s response, similarly to the timeline established in the Commission’s original letter, Iristel may file its comments by 21 October 2016.

Sincerely,

Original signed by
