RE: Status Report on Issues that were referred to Interconnection Steering Committee in Telecom Decision CRTC 2015-40
Dear Madams, Sirs:
In Telecom Decision CRTC 2015-40, Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. - Application to improve the quality of wholesale high-speed access services provided by cable carriers to independent Internet service providers, 12 February 2015, Cogeco Cable Inc., Rogers Communications Partnership, Shaw Cablesystems G.P., and Videotron G.P. [collectively, the Cable carriers] and the Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC) were directed to address a number of issues related to the provisioning of wholesale high-speed access services by the Cable carriers though the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee or bilateral discussions.
Specifically, the Commission directed CNOC and the Cable carriers to resolve the following three issues through the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee:
- Status of Installation orders and trouble tickets;
- Trouble escalation process; and
- Advance notice of network changes.
In March 2016, a monthly status report was submitted to the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee, which stated that the resolution of these issues were underway and were estimated to be completed in the second quarter of 2016. However, an updated report has not yet been filed.
Accordingly, CNOC and the Cable carriers are to submit a report by 23 September 2016 on the state of progress in resolving the issues that were referred to the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee.
Sincerely,
