Dear Mr. Biron:
On March 7, 2016, the Commission received an application from Sogetel Inc.Footnote 1 (Sogetel) filed under Part 1 of the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure. Sogetel asked the Commission for authorization to withdraw tariff notices (TNs) 175 and 80 for Sogetel and Téléphone Milot Inc. (Téléphone Milot), respectively, as well as the phase II cost studies produced in support of the tariffs proposed in the notices.Footnote 2 In place of the tariffs proposed in TNs 175 and 80, Sogetel asked that the Commission approve the use of the tariff approved for Telus Communications Company in its incumbent territory in Quebec, i.e., $0.001661 per minute.
Commission staff notes that on October 22, 2015, the Commission required Sogetel and Téléphone Milot to provide additional information as part of TNs 175 and 80; this information has still not been received by the Commission. As a result of the March 7, 2016 application received from Sogetel, staff is suspending the processing of Sogetel and Téléphone Milot TNs 175 and 80, including the requirement to respond to the October 22, 2015, request for information. Further process on TNs 175 and 80 will be determined in light of the Commission’s decision regarding the March 7, 2016 application.
