Re: Application by Corus Entertainment Inc.- Request for an extension of time to file their Television Annual Returns
Dear Mrs. Courtemanche,
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 29 November 2016 from Corus Entertainment Inc. (Corus) relating to an extension of time to 16 December 2016 to file its Television Annual Returns.
In its request, Corus stated that it has to respond by December 2nd to the Commission’s questions outlined in a document named “CRTC Exhibit 2”, which was presented to Corus at the oral phase of the hearing held to renew the licenses held by large French-language groups, in Laval, Quebec.
Additionally, Corus undertook to respond to a number of additional information requested by the Commission during the hearing held to renew the licenses held by large English-language groups, in Gatineau, Quebec, by December 9th and December 12th 2016 respectively.
Corus indicated that the staff required to prepare the information requested by the Commission at both hearings are the same individuals that are completing the CRTC Annual Returns.
Therefore, Corus may file its television Annual Returns by December 16th 2016.
Yours sincerely,
Scott HuttonExecutive Director, Broadcasting
