Re: Broadcasting complaints filed by the Canadian Association of Community Television Users and Stations (CACTUS) jointly made with various parties relating to multiple community channels operated by Shaw Cablesystems Limited (2016-0063-5), Cogeco Cable Canada LP (2016-0067-7), Eastlink (2016-0065-1) and Rogers Cable and Data Centres Inc. (2016-0064-3)
Dear Ms. Edwards
This letter is in reference to the complaints filed by CACTUS jointly with various other parties (CACTUS et al.) on 11 January 2016 alleging that Shaw Cablesystems Limited, Cogeco Cable Canada LP, Eastlink and Rogers Cable and Data Centres Inc. (the BDUs) are operating their community channels in non-compliance with a number of their regulatory requirements, including local and access community programming (the complaints). These complaints have been grouped by broadcasting distribution undertaking (BDU) under the applications noted above.
On 28 April 2016, CACTUS filed a letter in which it argued that it needs additional time to submit its reply to comments provided by the BDUs on 15 April 2016. In so doing, CACTUS argues that new information was provided by BDUs in their answers to the above noted Part 1 complaints.
In light of the arguments presented by CACTUS in its letter dated 28 April 2016, an extension to 20 May 2016 is granted for CACTUS to file its reply.
A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the file.
