Exempted terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertaking serving fewer than 20,000 subscribers – Revocation of licence

  1. The Commission received an application by Télé-Int-Tel inc. in which it has confirmed its eligibility for exemption in accordance with the terms and conditions of the exemption order for terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings serving fewer than 20,000 subscribers (Broadcasting Order 2015-544), set out in the appendix to Revised exemption order for terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings serving fewer than 20,000 subscribers, Broadcasting Regulatory Policy CRTC 2015-543 and Broadcasting Order CRTC 2015-544, 9 December 2015.
  2. Given the licensee's request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Télé-Int-Tel inc. for the undertaking serving Drummondville and Saint-Hyacinthe and their surrounding areas, Quebec.
  3. The Commission reminds the operator of this undertaking that it must, at all times, comply with the criteria set out in Broadcasting Order 2015-544.
