CIDO-FM Creston – Non-renewal of licence

Creston Community Radio Society filed an application to renew the broadcasting licence for the low-power, English-language community radio programming undertaking CIDO-FM Creston, which expires on 31 August 2016. The Commission did not receive any interventions regarding this application.
On 3 August 2016, the Commission received confirmation that the licensee has been dissolved, that the station has permanently ceased operations and that it is no longer seeking to renew the licence for CIDO-FM.
In light of the above, the Commission will not renew the broadcasting licence issued to Creston Community Radio Society for CIDO-FM. Accordingly, the licence will expire on 31 August 2016.
