Global Reality Channel - Revocation of licence

  1. Shaw Media Inc., on behalf of Shaw Television G.P. Inc. (the general partner) and Shaw Media Global Inc. (the limited partner), carrying on business as Shaw Television Limited Partnership, has requested the revocation of the broadcasting licence for the English-language specialty Category 2 service Global Reality Channel, originally granted in Reality TV - Category 2 specialty service, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2009-648, 14 October 2009.

  2. Given the applicant’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Shaw Television Limited Partnership for the above-mentioned undertaking.
