Pursuant to sections 72.02 of the Telecommunications Act, S.C. 1993, c. 38 (the Act), the undersigned has issued this Notice of Violation finding Le Groupe MTA Conseils en Gestion d’évènements public Inc. to have committed the following violations contrary to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s (CRTC’s) Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules (the Rules) made under section 41 of the Act:
On 9 October 2013, unsolicited telecommunications were made by Le Groupe MTA conseils en gestion d’évènements publics Inc. on behalf of a client, using an Automatic Dialing-Announcing Device (ADAD) resulting in violations of Part IV, subsection 4d) of the Rules, for not providing the name, address and contact telephone number of the person on whose behalf the call was made in the messages.
Pursuant to section 72.01 of the Act, the undersigned has determined that the total penalty for the violations identified above is $5000.
The penalty of $5000 must be paid by Le Groupe MTA conseils en gestion d’évènements publics Inc., to "The Receiver General for Canada" in accordance with subsection 72.09(3) of the Act
