RE:  Bell Aliant Tariff Notice 468

Dear Sir,

The Commission received an application from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant), under cover of Tariff Notice 468 (TN 468), dated 30 April 2014, in which the company proposed changes to its General Tariff CRTC 21491 item 626 – ADSL Access Service. The company proposed new monthly rates and service charges for its 2 Mbps and 7 Mbps ADSL Access services. In Telecom Order CRTC 2014-356, dated 8 July 2014, the Commission approved TN 468 on an interim basis effective the date of the order.

The Commission received an application from Bell Aliant, under the cover of Tariff Notice 488 (TN 488), dated 21 August 2015, in which the company proposed changes to the same tariff item and service speeds. TN 488 was filed in accordance with the order to implement the Commission’s determinations in Review of wholesale wireline services and associated policies, Telecom Regulatory Policy 2015-326, dated 22 July 2015, in which the Commission froze the rates for certain services as of 22 July 2015. In Telecom Order 2015-476, dated 23 October 2015, the Commission approved TN 488.

In light of the Commission’s approval of TN 488, Commission staff considers that the disposition of TN 468 becomes moot. Accordingly, Bell Aliant’s application TN 468 is closed.

Sincerely,
