RE: Follow-up to Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2015-177, Regulatory framework for wholesale mobile wireless services (TRP 2015-177) – Request for Extension

Dear Madams/Sirs:

The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 30 October 2015, submitted by Bell Canada, requesting an extension to 27 November 2015 for filing of the Bell Mobility proposed rates for its National Wireless Roaming Service and the related cost support required by the Commission as directed in Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2015-177 entitled Regulatory framework for wholesale mobile wireless services.

Bell Canada submitted that, while they were given six months to prepare the filing, this is the first time that a regulatory cost study of such complexity has been produced for wireless services, as opposed to wireline services.  As a result, new cost models have had to be developed and new inputs defined and collected and they were are not in a position to file the final results by the date requested on 4 November 2015.

In letters dated 30 October 2015, Rogers Communications Partnership and TELUS Communications Company supported Bell Canada’s request and also requested a similar extension for their filing deadlines.

Considering the closeness to the filing deadline, parties wishing to comment on the extension requests must do so by end of day 2 November 2015.

Sincerely,
