Re: DiversityCanada Foundation and the National Pensioners Federation – Application to review and vary Telecom Order CRTC 2015-240 – Procedural request for extension of Reply deadline

Dear Mr. Kindiak,

Commission staff is sending this letter for the purpose of responding to the procedural request made by DiversityCanada Foundation and the National Pensioners Federation (DiversityCanada/NPF) in the above-noted application.

On 20 October, 2015, DiversityCanada/NPF requested an extension of the deadline to Reply to the Answer of TELUS Communications Company (TCC), dated 19 October 2015. DiversityCanada/NPF submitted that it would be appropriate to permit the extension of time given considerations of fairness and the public interest, and because no party would be prejudiced as a result.

In the view of Commission staff, there is no indication that any party would be prejudiced by the extension of time. Accordingly, the extension will be granted and DiversityCanada/NPF must file its Reply by no later than 9 November 2015, serving copies on all other parties.

A copy of this letter and any related correspondence will be added to the publicly accessible record for this proceeding.

Sincerely,

Adam Balkovec
Legal counsel
