RE: Request for help in facilitating participation in the CRTC’s online discussion on message relay services

Dear Sir/Madam:

On 9 June 2015, an online discussion on message relay service will be launched on the Commission website. This online discussion will solicit consumer feedback on their experiences using TTY relay as well as IP relay. As such, the target audience for this discussion is individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, who use either TTY relay or IP relay, or both.

To ensure fulsome participation of this group of individuals, we are requesting your collaboration to help us announce this online discussion, so that we can hear a variety of viewpoints from all parts of Canada. Active participation will help both the Commission and you to understand the consumers’ experience using these services, including what is working well and what could be improved.

We would appreciate your help in announcing this online discussion by placing a banner on your respective IP relay login pages. This will permit the target audience to see the banner upon logging in to use the service. Three types of banners, each representing a different size, have been attached to this email correspondence. You are being asked to include one of these banners on your IP relay login page, or a similar page, starting 9 June 2015 and maintaining the banner until 29 June 2015. Additionally, please include one of the appropriate links:

English: http://consultation.crtc.gc.ca/?utm_source=consult&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=mrs

French: http://consultation.crtc.gc.ca/fr/?utm_source=consult&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=mrs

These links will redirect individuals to the online discussion on the Commission website. These embedded links will permit the Commission to track the number of individuals directed to the online discussion via one of these banners; however, no personal information will be collected via these banners. Once consumers have been linked to the Commission webpage, the Government of Canada’s and the CRTC’s privacy policies apply. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy at: http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/copyright.htm.

If your company requires a different banner size or resolution, or if you have any questions with regards to this letter, please contact Kay Saicheua at (819) 934-1358 or kay.saicheua@crtc.gc.ca.

Sincerely,
