Re: An application made on behalf of the City of Hamilton with respect to the establishment of a Municipal Access Agreement between the City and Bell Canada and associated matters - Request for extension to file final reply

Dear Mr. Duxbury,

The Commission has received a letter dated 10 March 2015 from Duxbury Law Professional Corporation, counsel for the City of Hamilton (the City), requesting an extension for the filing of the City’s final reply in the above referenced application.

The letter states that, among other things, the interventions made by Quebecor Media must first be translated in order to allow the City to address them. The City further states that its final reply will include additional factual documentation in order to properly address issues raised in Bell Canada’s answer. Accordingly, the City is requesting that the current deadline of 16 March 2015 to submit its final reply be extended to 15 April 2015.

In light of the above, and noting that Bell Canada submitted a response to the City’s request, Commission staff grants the requested extension. Accordingly, the City must file its final reply with the Commission by 15 April 2015.

The City is reminded that a final reply should confine itself to responding to matters raised in Bell Canada’s answer, as well as the interventions of third parties.

Sincerely
