RE: Request by Bell for Final Offer Arbitration with Quebecor Media Inc., on behalf of Videotron G.P., with respect to TVA Sports.
On 8 January 2015, Vidéotron requested that the Commission grant it a two week extension (22 January) to respond to the request for a final offer arbitration filed by Bell on 16 December 2014. On 12 January 2015, Bell responded to Videotron’s request for a delay stating that it was opposed to it, but would agree to an extension until 16 January.
Having taken into consideration Bell’s reservations with the requested extension, staff is prepared to extend the date for the response by Videotron until Tuesday 20 January 2015.
Within approximately 10 days of having received Videotron’s response, the Commission will issue a letter advising the parties whether it is accepting the request for final offer arbitration.
