Objectives of the proceeding

The objective of this public proceeding is to review the current regulatory framework and to put in place necessary measures to ensure that the French-language commercial radio sector can effectively support French-language Canadian artists to, in turn, enrich the broadcasting system.

In the context of its review of the contribution of commercial radio stations to French-language vocal music, the Commission must take into account the larger contribution of elements in the Canadian broadcasting system to French-language Canadian creators and artists.
