Re: Procedural request dated 1 September 2015 – shomi compliance with Telecommunications Act and with Digital Media Exemption Order

The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 1 September 2015, wherein the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) indicated that it became aware, by way of a tweet published by Commissioner Shoan, of a meeting that took place between Commissioner Shoan and the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of shomi. PIAC expressed concern that the meeting took place while the Commission is considering a Part 1 application by PIAC regarding shomi’s regulatory compliance.

In order to avoid any appearance of bias, PIAC requested the Commission to confirm the following:
