Re: Part 1 Application by the Public Interest Advocacy Centre - Shomi compliance with the Telecommunications Act and the Digital media exemption order (“DMEO”)

Dear Sir,

We have received your letter dated 30 April 2015, in which you request that the above noted application either be incorporated in the Call for comments on proposed amendments to the exemption order for video-on-demand undertakings and to the standard conditions of licence for video-on-demand undertakings, Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2015-87, or proceed as a separate process.

On 8 May 2015, a letter was sent confirming that PIAC’s application, as filed, will proceed.  The Commission will take into consideration all of the submissions it will receive in these respective proceedings in order to come to an informed and fulsome determination on these matters.
