Changes to procedure
- Further to Compliance and Enforcement Notice of Consultation 2015-333 (the Notice), and pursuant to section 37 of the Telecommunications Act,Footnote 1 the Commission is issuing, by letter today, further requests for information from the parties to the proceeding (i.e. those listed in Appendix 2 of the Notice) on barriers to the adoption of existing solutions or to the implementation of new and innovative solutions.

Accordingly, the Commission is extending the deadline for final submissions set out in the Notice. For ease of reference, the relevant paragraph of the Notice is reproduced below, with changes highlighted in bold italics.
20. All parties may file final submissions with the Commission on any matter within the scope of this proceeding by 31 January 2016. Final submissions, including an executive summary, are not to exceed 15 pages.

Paragraph 37(1)(b) of the Telecommunications Act (the Act) states that the Commission may require a Canadian carrier to submit to it, in periodic reports or in such other form and manner as the Commission specifies, any information that the Commission considers necessary for the administration of the Act or any special Act.
