CBGA-FM Matane and its transmitter CBGA-14-FM Grande Vallée - Technical change
-
The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to change the technical parameters of CBGA-14-FM Grande Vallée, a transmitter for the French-language radio programming undertaking CBGA-FM Matane. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
-
The CBC proposed to decrease the effective radiated power from 2,110 to 1,450 watts. All other technical parameters will remain unchanged.
-
The licensee indicated that the proposed change reflects the technical parameters of the transmitter, as built.
-
The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
